Shifting Balance and ADHD

If you've gotten to know my perspective a little bit already you'll know I think:

  • structure is helpful for adults with ADHD, but it has to be the right structure and the right amount of structure
  • structure often needs to be flexible depending on the rest of your life
  • systems and routines that are useful may take a back burner when other things change
  • those systems and routines might be useful only at the right times
  • it's important to identify when you fall off your own wagon (of structures, systems, routines)
  • the fact that you're not doing what worked at one point doesn't mean you can't just start again now

I'm summing this up because it has to do with what I'm going through right now. I'll tell you more about that next time.
